Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has sold 344750 units of two wheelers in January 2014 as compared to 230294 units in January 2014. This is a 50pc jump in sales. Of the vehicles sold 163273 units of motorcycles in Jan 2014 (118750) and 181477 units of scooters (111544 units). The company’s marketshare too has increased in January 2014 to 23pc as compared to 17pc i the corresponding period last year. While motorcycles grew by 37pc in January 2014, sales of scooters grew by as much as 63pc. These figures include both domestic as well as exports of two wheelers.
